Terms of Service

Last updated: July 2026

These Terms govern your use of PolyIDE. By creating an account or using PolyIDE, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

⚠️ Use at your own risk. PolyIDE is provided "as is," and you use it entirely at your own risk. We are not responsible for any loss of data or code. Always keep your own backups of anything important.

1. The service

PolyIDE is a multi-language code editor and development environment, available in the browser and as a desktop app, with optional paid plans.

2. Your account

You are responsible for your account and keeping your credentials secure (we recommend enabling two-factor authentication). You must provide accurate information and be at least 16 years old.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to use PolyIDE to:

  • break the law or infringe others' rights;
  • build, host, or distribute malware, or attack, probe, or disrupt any system or network;
  • mine cryptocurrency or run abusive workloads on our infrastructure;
  • gain unauthorized access to the service or other users' data;
  • resell or misrepresent the service, or reverse engineer it to build a competing product.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate this policy.

4. Your content

You own the code and content you create. You grant us a limited license to store, process, and transmit it solely to operate the service for you (for example, cloud sync, or running the AI assistant you enable). You are responsible for your content and for having the rights to it.

5. Payments

Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring basis via Stripe until cancelled. You can cancel anytime; access continues to the end of the paid period. Except where required by law, fees are non-refundable. Prices may change with notice.

6. Intellectual property

PolyIDE, its software, and branding are owned by us and protected by law. These Terms grant you no rights in them except to use the service.

7. Disclaimer of warranties

PolyIDE is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that data or code will not be lost. You are responsible for backing up your work.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, PolyIDE and its owners are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data or code, or loss of profits or business, arising from or related to your use of (or inability to use) the service — even if advised of the possibility. You use PolyIDE at your own risk. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or US$50.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold PolyIDE harmless from claims and costs arising out of your content or your misuse of the service.

10. Termination

You may stop using PolyIDE and delete your account anytime. We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms or to protect the service.

11. Changes

We may update these Terms; continued use after changes means you accept them. Material changes are posted here with a new date.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which PolyIDE operates, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.
